SHIGA KOGEN SKI RESORT
Shiga Kogen, Japan’s highest elevation resort, is located 45 kilometers from Nagano City. With a peak elevation of 2,307 metres, it opens early in the season and remains open until Golden Week. Shiga Kogen has 18 ski areas with approximately 70 lifts, 60 of which are linked. It spans 20 kilometers and takes 30 minutes to travel across. Yokoteyama and Kumanoyu are unconnected locations, however free shuttles connect the resorts. Skiing provides access to all other regions.
