Compensation system in case of accident

• Security Insurance

  In the event of an accident, theft, breakdown, or damage, etc., and cleaning becoming necessary, the amount of vehicle repair costs that you are responsible for will be reduced to a maximum of 100,000 yen (tax included).
  Safety compensation fee: 3,000 yen (tax included) / day
  ※The Non-Operation Charge mentioned below will be charged separately.

• Free road service

  We provide roadside assistance to prepare for any unexpected troubles. Services include towing, refueling, unlocking doors, flat tire repairs, and assistance with wheel slips.

• Non-operation charge （NOC）

  In the unlikely event of an accident, theft, or damage, etc., which requires the vehicle to be repaired or cleaned, you will be required to pay the following amounts as compensation for business interruption during that time or anything that is not attributed to our company (JAPAN ROAD TRIP).

  If the damage makes the vehicle drivable: 100,000 yen (tax-exempt)

  If the damage makes the vehicle drivable or if long-term repairs are required, such as roof damage, 200,000 yen (tax-exempt)

  
  ※If you sign up for the Safety Compensation Service, you will also be charged an additional fee.

• Insurance and compensation limits

  In the unlikely event of an accident, you will be compensated within the following limits.
  Personal liability insurance: Unlimited
  Property liability insurance: Unlimited (Deductible: 100,000 yen)
  Passenger insurance: 10 million yen
  *If the accident is not reported to the police (there is no accident certificate), compensation may not be provided. (The customer will be responsible for the full amount.)
  *Please note that insurance will not be paid in the following cases, and damages will be borne by the customer.
  * If an accident occurs when someone other than the person who submitted the rental contract drives the vehicle
  * Accidents caused by driving without a license
  * Accidents caused by driving while drunk
  * Accidents caused by overdue use of the rental period without prior notice
  * Other violations of the items listed in our rental agreement, etc.
  * In all other cases, payment will be made in accordance with the insurance company’s terms and conditions and regulations not the rental company (JAPAN ROAD TRIP).
