Day-3 Fuji-Q High Land

Day-4 Shizouka

Shizouka Prefecture is famous for being home to Mount Fuji, the highest peak in the country. But besides Mt. Fuji there are many location that you can enjoy the beaty of Shizouka one one them is Sumatakyo Gorge. 

Sumatakyo, located in Shizuoka’s Southern Alps mountain range, is a hidden natural wonder with crystal-blue water, deep ravines, swinging rope bridges, and rejuvenating onsen. The best part of Sumatakyo is the hiking path to Sumatakyo Gorge, which takes 2-3 kilometers and includes a tunnel rumored to be blessed by a healing wind. The view from the tunnel makes you feel small compared to the surrounding mountains. One of the main attractions is the Yume no Tsuribashi Bridge, a narrow rope bridge that can only accommodate 11 people at a time. It is a tradition to stop in the middle and make a wish, leading to a long line of people waiting to cross.
