Oura “tanada”

Oura “tanada” is one of the “100 Best Rice Terraces in Japan .” It is said that there are about 1,000 rice terraces located on a hilltop with a wonderful view overlooking Imari Bay, making them a popular photo spot and walking course. In summer, the area is filled with fresh greenery, and in autumn, the golden color of the surroundings and the red spider lilies create a beautiful contrast.

“Nanatsugama”

Nanatsugama is a designated natural monument of Japan, and was formed by the erosion of basalt by the waves of the Genkai Sea. The rock surface is regularly lined up like pillars, called columnar joints, which are formed when lava contracts as it cools and hardens.Depending on the wave conditions , you can enter it by boat!

Takeo’s Great Camphor Tree

The sacred tree of Takeo Shrine, which is said to be over 3,000 years old and is ranked 7th in the national giant tree rankings, has been designated as a natural monument of the city. You can find it by walking further from the main shrine of Takeo Shrine along a path surrounded by bamboo forests.
